Stencil Storage
I've seen lots of ideas on organizing stencils. I used to keep mine in a box and they kept sticking to one another. It was a pain to go through them and see which ones I wanted to use. I had an old crop in style zippered binder that I wasn't using and lots of different page protectors for scrapbooking. Here is how I organized all my stencils.
The 12 x 12's
The 6 x 6's
Odd sizes
Ones that I cut out myself. I use Avery insertable plastic dividers. I pull the extra plastic off the tabs and then cut them out with my Pazzles Inspiration electronic cutter. They fit perfect in the binder without having to insert them into a page protector.
It's great because I can keep everything in one place.

ReplyDeleteHow have you stopped the 6x6 stencils and odd shaped stencils from slipping into one another when they are in the protectors, are they special protectors divided into 4? Hope you don't mind me asking! It is just I have done this too, but they keep sliding together.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you asked. These are photo pages for scrapbooking. We R Memory Keepers is one of the brands that make them. I know Archievers sells something similar under their brand. These are 12 x 12 with four pockets and I also use the two pocket and full size for storing my stencils. They were originally made to store scrapbook supplies like stickers die cuts,, borders, etc. but I find they work great for stencils. Everything is in one binder and it is easy to take with you. The odd size stencils are in regular 8 1/2 x 11 page protectors for binders. They also fit in the crop in style.
ReplyDeleteOh thanks, I haven't seen them in the UK, but I will have to look again now. Thank you x
